DESCRIPTION:The Secular Franciscan Fraternity and the Capuchin Friars of Newton will begin ‘St Francis Week’ on Saturday\, and conclude with Mass on the occasion of the Secular Franciscan Fraternity of Newton’s 62nd Anniversary on Thursday. \nThe scheduled events (below) include: the Blessing of Pets; the Transitus; Masses including one celebrated by the new Archbishop Patrick O’Regan; an encore of the Pope’s Mass and the launch of the new encyclical; the screening of documentaries and movies on St Francis of Assisi; and vocation stories. \nA virtual pilgrimage of Assisi will be held on Monday\, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. FULFILMENT! – A Practical Approach to the Scriptures” \nCome along and find out how we can\, as young Catholics\, approach the Scriptures and learn how to deepen our relationship with God through the very important gift of His Word that He has given us – as well as have a lot of fun and a weekend away! \nRegistrations are now open. Make sure to click the button below and book your ticket! \nFrom Friday 27th -Sunday 29th July 2018\, there will be TALKS\, GAMES\, DAILY MASS\, ADORATION\, LIVE MUSIC…and MORE! all at a scenic location on the Port Hacking River in the Royal National Park\, Sydney. \nWe have an international Capuchin speaker joining us again this year.
